Frequently Asked Questions

  • La Rosa Tattoo Company, 3307 S College Ave #102-B, Fort Collins, CO 80525.

Please note that while the shop has official hours, I operate by Appointment Only

  • I open my books every 3 months, or quarterly throughout the year (in January, April, July, and October). The exact time and date will be announced about 1-2 weeks in advance. When my books open, there will be a booking form link posted various places (here, Instagram bio, or sent to you directly if you sign up for my newsletter!). The form will stay open until it maxes out at 200 submissions.

Be prepared to describe 1-2 ideas clearly and concisely, provide up to 5 references for subject matter or tattoo location, and provide photos of the location that you’d like tattooed.

  • Response emails should all be out within 2 weeks of books closing. Please pay attention to your email (double check spam folders) and my Instagram story for any updates.

You will still receive a response if your idea is not selected.

If your idea is selected, you are guaranteed an appointment in that booking round. It usually takes me and my booking assistant a month or two to get everyone that was selected in the books, so please be aware that finalizing your booking won’t be immediate.

  • Unfortunately due to the number of submissions that I receive, I prioritize ideas that best fit my style, are not repeats of other artists or my own designs, and gives me creative freedom as an artist. The reason a submission may be declined is because:

    • I have taken on as many projects as I can for the booking window,

    • It does not fit within my black and grey illustrative style,

    • I have either tattooed similar designs to your concept, or have appointments booked for similar concepts,

    • There was not enough information or references in your submission to understand your vision,

    • It is not something I believe I am capable of doing.

  • All pricing covers drawing and tattoo time for your design, includes an in-person consultation if you’d like, and free touch-ups for 6 months after your appointment.

    • Full Day Session (about 6-7 hours) : $1,100 flat rate

    • Half Day Session (About 3-4 hours) : $600 flat rate

    • 2 hours or under Session : $200 per Hour

This will take effect beginning with appointments booked during the April ‘24 booking round.

  • Full day appointments require a $200 deposit, and half day or hourly appointments require a $100 deposit, paid at the time of booking. This will be deducted from the final hourly cost of your tattoo.

Please note that the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and will cover one appointment reschedule, as long as we have at least a one week notice. If you need to reschedule a second time, or if you give less than a one week’s notice, there will need to be a new deposit paid to get something else in the books.

  • My booking rounds typically roll into each other, so when open time does pop up, I try to book from there first.

If I can’t fill the time from the booking submissions, I use the opportunity to release flash designs.

Those will be sent out through the newsletter with the available time slot.

  • If your idea is selected, I am more than happy to meet with you in person to discuss your design in more detail and get a sketch going. There is no consultation fee.

  • You’re more than welcome to make small idea and design changes to your original proposal, just shoot me an email!

Drastic changes may require us to reschedule your appointment.

  • All designs will be available at the time of your appointment. You are more than welcome to make any small changes that you see fit at that time. My hope is that by the time we reach your appointment, we’ve communicated enough to be on the same page with your design. If that is not the case and we need to make drastic edits, I will most likely need to reschedule your appointment to allow for time to redraw your design.

I will always offer a consultation slot to you before finalizing your appointment, to give you an opportunity to sit down with me in person to discuss your design in more detail and get a sketch working.

  • Florals, bugs, birds, reptiles, bones (animal or human), fruits, vegetables, herbs, fantasy / whimsical designs, large scale botanical pieces, and forest flora and fauna, to name a few!

  • Micro tattoos, lettering, color designs, realism, other artist’s work.

  • I do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18.
